A Grand Celebration of Creativity and Hindi Language at HSCL Bhilai

HSCL Bhilai hosted the NARAKAS-level Postcard Writing and Picture-Based Poetry Competition, culminating in a vibrant award distribution ceremony. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and floral offerings to the image of Goddess Saraswati, accompanied by Vedic chants that infused the atmosphere with spiritual energy.

The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Soumik De, General Manager (Liaison & Administration, Public Relations & In-charge Official Language) and NARAKAS Secretary, Bhilai Steel Plant. The event was presided over by Mr. Nishith Kanti Das, Zonal Headin presence of shri V.K.Shah, Advisor(TECH). The jury panel included Mr. Jitendra Das Manikpuri (Deputy Manager, Liaison Administration & Official Language) and Mrs. Anuradha Dhanank (Deputy Divisional Engineer–Official Language).

In his keynote address, Mr. Soumik De remarked:

“The Hindi language holds immense power for creativity and expression. Competitions like these not only provide a platform for talent but also foster awareness and love for our official language, Hindi.”

The jury praised the participants’ works, emphasizing that poetry is not merely a play of words but a heartfelt expression born from deep emotion. They noted that postcard writing, with its limited space, demands thoughtful word selection and clarity of message.

The event was anchored by Mrs. Vandana Chaudhary, Official Language Officer, who stated:

“The Official Language Department should not merely be a conduit for procedures and information, but a bridge for human sensitivity and expression.”

  • Third Prize: Tapan Acharyaji – Sashastra Seema Bal
  • Consolation Prizes: Amitesh Purohit, Rajendra Lavang, Apu Behera, Garima Chandra, Anil Kumar Agrawal

Picture-Based Poetry Competition

  • First Prize: Amrita Gangrade – Bhilai Steel Plant
  • Second Prize: Sonali Patle – IIT Bhilai
  • Third Prize: Anil Kumar Agrawal – Bhilai Steel Plant
  • Consolation Prizes: Tribhuvan Lal Sahu, Garima Chandra, Pradeep Kumar, Dayanand Sahu, Akash Sharma

This event marked a significant step in promoting the Hindi language, offering participants a platform to showcase their creativity while deepening respect and affection for the official language.
